We will be supporting Whitby Nats in a point survey of the Grosmont area. We will meet at 6.40 on the North York Moors railway platform (NZ 82803 05278). ) at 6.40. Please contact Nick Gibbons if you are interested and we will try and organise car share.
A point survey of the YWT Burton Riggs reserve and adjacent water bodies to see what bats are using the area and particularly looking for Nathusius’ pipistrelles. Meet at the main entrance to the reserve off Lake View road (TA031833 at 6.00pm. Please let Nick Gibbons know if you are attending.
Meet at the Holbeck car park at 10.00. Please let Ginny Leeming know if you are coming. Please wear suitable footwear and bring something to collect samples in.

I will have these available for any East or North Yorkshire bat group members. Anyone who has recently had covid, or has been in contact with someone who has, must provide a negative test result. Once again we are having our Quiz night at the Scarborough Rugby Club with Whitby and Rye Nats. John Hume has again agreed to act as quizmaster and, based on previous years, will provide a mind teasing and humorous set of questions. There will be a pay bar and, if anyone wants some food, it is available from the bar downstairs. Guests are welcome.
Brian Cockerill will be leading a fungus foray.Meet at the Forestry Office in North Moors at 10.00hrs. Bring suitable footwear for ‘off-piste’ walking in the forest and a packed lunch.
