Louise Thompson will lead a walk in the upper part of Sawdondale. Meet at Village Hall at 10am ( SE9393 8531 or what 3 words Contents.provoking.clock ) where parking is available.
We will be looking out for flowers , birds, insects and anything else. The paths are very steep in places, the dale is often muddy and the path crosses the stream 6 times! Good footwear, +/- stick recommended. Contact Louise Thompson if interested. ( louisejcthompson@gmail.com )

Joyce Scott will give us a talk on how to get into lichens.
This is a two day meeting and is non-residential so members can come to either or both days. It is a chance to meet members from other groups. The format on the day depends on what people want but normally people splits into groups to survey a specific area or to look at specific taxa. Beginners and experts mix together as a learning experience. There is an optional meeting Sunday afternoon in a local village hall to discuss and collate the finds.

A trip down the Helwath Road track through the forest to look for Pearl bordered fritillaries and anything else we can find. Meet at the car park on the Helwath Road (SE953987) at 1.00pm.
A chance to get close up to some spectacular sea birds. An accessible walk for everyone. Meet at the RSPB centre at 09.00hrs when Keith Wimbush has offered to guide us round. We will try and car share where possible.
We will combine an evening of Nightjar surveying with a search for Glowworms. Meeting point to be sorted. Please let Nick Gibbons know if you are interested so we can sort out suitable locations and pairings.
