Meet at Cropton Cabins car park (SE 757 917) at 2.00pm. We will be doing some updates to the boxes at Keldy with 10 modified boxes as a trial. We will be checking the boxes using endoscopes and only removing a limited number of bats for training purposes to reduce the potential for covid transmission.
There is a requirement for all members attending this event must be fully vaccinated and we will be asking for evidence of this at the start of every event. In addition to this any PPE specified i.e. masks and nitrile gloves, hand wash will all be supplied but the event leaders.
We are going to check the three sets of boxes in Dalby and Pexton bank. Meet at the entrance to the Forest Drive at the Pickering end at 10.00am (Grid Ref – SE 848 855). Bring a packed lunch. The May lily has always been one of the iconic species for Forge valley and we have no recent records so here is a chance to look for it and see if it is still present.

A circular walk following the route laid out in Peter Robinson’s booklet starting at the small car park above near Suffield on the road to Suffieldm Ings Farm ( SE980899 ). It will be a mix of geology and botany. You will need stout shoes and a packed lunch. It is quite hilly in places and around 7km in total. Contact Nick Gibbons 07790 113025 if you are interested.
