SCARBOROUGH FIELD NATURALISTS.

MINUTES OF EXTERNAL MEETING HELD ON: 10^th MARCH 2015 at 7-00pm.

VENUE: Woodend, The Crescent, Scarborough.

ATTENDANCE:  19 Members & guests.

CHAIRMAN:  Robin Hopper.

APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE:  Mick Carroll (Past President), Ian Glaves.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:  None.

REPORT:

Nineteen society members and guests spent an enjoyable two hours perusing the library and wildlife collections in the basement at Woodend.  Julie Baxter of Scarborough Museums Trust gave an introduction to the work the collections officers and volunteers (including several society members) had being doing and various parts of the collection were viewed.  The society president Robin Hopper gave members a chance to see the town’s extremely rare great auk egg, one of only 74 known in the world of this extinct bird.
