Recorders
Local volunteers maintain records of sightings and records that are given to the society which are verified and submit to regional and national databases as well as organise local field trips and talks.
Anyone is encouraged to submit sightings, preferably with photos as long as it is within the reporting area. There are free apps which can be used to suggest an identification, such as iNaturalist, Obsidentify and Merlin Bird ID but their accuracy is variable and so needs to be verified.
