The May lily has always been one of the iconic species for Forge valley and we have no recent records so here is a chance to look for it and see if it is still present.

A circular walk following the route laid out in Peter Robinson’s booklet starting at the small car park above near Suffield on the road to Suffieldm Ings Farm ( SE980899 ). It will be a mix of geology and botany. You will need stout shoes and a packed lunch. It is quite hilly in places and around 7km in total. Contact Nick Gibbons 07790 113025 if you are interested.
Meet at cliff top car park at the end of Sands Lane, Reighton. Bring pack up and drinks. Good boots needed. Uneven surface and path down broken in places. Finish 2pm ish. Bit of geology and botany to keep you interested.
A chance to join Allan Rodda mothing on the Wykeham Causeway. It’s a public event so all are welcome Follow the signs for the Yorkshire Water Park at Wykeham ,pass the water park entrance and keep ahead on the road for approximately one mile and we will be there from 9 pm
