Our annual check on the bat hibernacula at Ravenscar railway tunnel. Meet by the National Trust kiosk in Ravenscar for a 10.30 depart. Bring a hard hat and a torch. The floor is often running with water so suitable footwear needed.
We will check the boxes at Dalby Beck and Pexton. Meet at the lumbergills statue on Dalby Forest drive ( alive.classics.president SE 85255 85990 ) at 10.00am.

Keith Wimbush will lead a dawn chorus walk at Harwood Dale Forest where we can expect a good selection of bird song for you to have a go at. Meet at the Helwath Road car park area at 4.30 ( SE 95365 98762, homes.bulletins.prowl ). Please let Keith Know if you are attending.

Keith Wimbush will guide us round the RSPB reserve at Bempton. Meet in the RSPB car park at 09.30 ( TA 19744 73904, sprays.crypt.variation ). Please let Keith know if you are attending. We will try and car share where practical.
The YNU are having one of their field meetings at Raincliffe Woods to which all Scarborough Nats members are invited. There will be an introduction at Hackness village hall after which attendees will walk the woods. More details to follow.
Meeting at 2pm at the fishermen’s carpark( first right turn on entering the Water Park). We will walk around the northern lakes and maybe visit the bird hide/screen. Leaders Louise Thompson and John Hume.
We will have a look and see what Nightjar activity we can find in the depths of Langdale Forest. Meet at the Forest entrance beyond the Scout Hut ( SE 92774 92567 glossed.blues.intruding ) at 20.15. Please let Nick Gibbons know if you are attending and we will share cars where possible. Note we will be going through several locked forest gates so we will have to all arrive and leave together unless you are a registered key holder.
We will have a get together as a social and also to see the bats, particularly Daubenton’s, feeding on the Mere. Bring something to eat that can be shared and anything you fancy to drink plus a chair.
Meet at the carpark at the north end of Seamer Road Mere at 2pm and we will do the circuit of the Mere and see what we can find. Leader Louise Thompson.
