13 Jan. Review of 2014 – Members meeting @ Room WO27

The first of this year's indoor meetings, "A Review of 2014" will be will be held in room WO27 at Hull University, Scarborough Campus at 7:30pm on Tuesday, 13th January. 
This Open Meeting will be a review of 2014 so bring along your records and photographs of 2014 natural history highlights in the Scarborough area, to share with others.
 
The meeting is open to members past and present, friends and those with an interest in natural history who wish to learn more about the Scarborough Field Naturalists society.
If you are a member of the Society all the Lecture meetings are free, but guests are welcome to come and see what it's all about for the price of £2.  Open meetings are free to all. 
  
May I remind members that Membership Subscriptions are now due:
 
      Single Membership  £15 
      Joint / Family Membership  £20 
      Hull University Students  free 
      Under 18s   free
 
If you are unable to attend Tuesday's meeting, subscription cheques made payable to "Scarborough Field Naturalists" can be sent to Brian Walker.

David McCandless, Chief Inshore Fisheries & Conservation Officer for North Eastern Inshore Fisheries & Conservation Authority will give a brief overview in terms of the background and history of NEIFCA to be followed by one of my Environmental and Scientific Officers who will present on some of our local research and monitoring work.

With so much of our marine wildlife affected by fishing the talk will provide a fascinating insight into the science behind fish stock management.
