Joan Childs will give us her long awaited introduction to Hoverflies.

Paul will give us an insight into the management and wildlife of Raincliffe Woods

Peter will give us an insight on the geological history of the Scarborough area.

A chance to find out what has been going on with all the various projects etc that have been undertaken and what our recorders have found, and also for members to bring any samples, records of interest, Tonights recorders reports will include Stuart Baines on the recent Dolphin sightings, John Hume on botany, Robin Hopper on birds and Rob Stark on orchids.

The January 25th meeting will be a follow on with reports on Bats, Seashore, Butterflies and Fungi.

Our group recorders will give us a brief overview of the past years events and records and members are invited to bring along exhibits.

Merlins have been in general decline across our patch. Wilf will update us how they are getting on and maybe what the future holds.

After a walk round Deepdale this year with Brian most of us are still trying to absorb the wealth of information on how to identify some of the trees we have, particularly the numerous forest softwoods. Brian will try and reinforce our abilities to better understand this highly topical subject as we are all being encouraged to plant more trees.
