We have now found that July 16th clashes with an FC meeting which will take priority for most of the committee so we will leave this event for this year and try again in 2020.
We are going to check the bat activity that we found around the centre of the village and also do some recording in Revenge Wood as the card in the bat detector there failed on our first survey. Please contact Nick Gibbons on 07790 113025 if you can help.
As most of you will know the Society has been doing a repeat of Peter Robinson’s 1993 botanical survey of Deepdale. Apart from the botanical survey we have also been gathering records of as many other groups as possible and will also have a bat survey there on 9th August. To ‘celebrate’ FC are having an open day on the site and all members are invited. Hopefully we should also be able to generate some more records for the site on the day so bring your field guides etc! Exact timings, access etc will be posted when finalised.
