By request we will visit Flamborough Head to look for sea birds and walk some of the nearby hedges and woodlands looking for migrating birds.

This is a chance to visit the site with Cath Bashforth of FC and see what our beavers have been up to and understand what the project is all about. Numbers will be limited to 12. Please contact Nick Gibbons if you want to attend and let us know if you are unable to take your place (see below). You may well need wellingtons as the beavers are doing their best to flood the footpath, and a torch for later as it gets dark.
As of 15th August I have 12 and will start a reserve list for anyone else who would like to attend. We may put on a second evening if there is sufficient demand
A chance to learn about a group of insects which we all see around but seem to know so little about.
Peter has published a number of books and papers on this topic. It will be a chance to get to grips with how our area has developed geologically and increase our understanding of why our plants and animals are distributed in the way they are.
This is your chance to get involved with the Society as new committee members are always welcome. It will be followed by a talk on bats.
