MINUTES OF MEETING HELD ON: 6th December 2016
VENUE: University of Hull Scarborough Campus. ATTENDANCE: 19 Members & guests.
CHAIRMAN: The President, John Hume was in the Chair.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Steve Bushell suggested a talk on the pros and cons of re-introductions as a talk for next year.
Robin has passed details of the 'Heritage Forum' calender webpage where local clubs can post details of their clubs meetings. Rob Stark will try to put our meetings on this shortly.
Robin Hopper announced that John Ireland sadly passed away recently.
AGM
Secretaries report: Brian Walker gave a summary of the year's attendance which was slightly down on last year. Brian thanked members for helping at Wood End and also thanked the committee.
Treasurers report. Frank Sheader presented his report. We had accrued £768 over the year following a £500 legacy and only modest amounts spent on speakers and nothing on room hire. Proposed as correct by Ian Glaves, seconded Pauline Popely. Carried.

No other nominations had been received. Proposed as one by Robin Hopper, Seconded Steve Bushell. Carried.
Venue for 2017 indoor meetings. Two possibilities.
St Catherine's Hospice education centre, Throxenby Lane, Newby
Seats up to 40. Tea and Coffee available if pre-booked. £25 per evening
Scarborough Rugby Club, Scalby Road, Scalby
Seats up to 40. £20 per evening. Bar available.
Brian Walker suggested that the consensus of the people who had viewed both rooms favoured St Catherines. The meeting supported this move which will take effect for the next meeting on 10th January.

John showed two short films, Medieval Monsters by Oliver Mueller and Dragonfly by Wildlifelens
